India – Mumbai

Mumbai, formally known as Bombay, is many people’s first experience of a visit to India as they land at the large international airport.

The first place that you should visit on your Mumbai holidays is the Gateway of India. This huge monument was erected to in the early 20th century to commemorate the visit of King-Emperor George V and Queen-Empress Mary, the first British monarch to visit India. From there we would suggest you get a feel for Mumbai with a visit to Crawford Market.

This is one of the most famous markets in Mumbai and the range of items on sale is bewildering!

As Seen in…

We have had the most relaxing holiday ever. Thanks for arranging everything, it all worked out perfectly. The three weeks just flew by. Having travelled around so much of India and seen so much, having the last week on the beach in Goa was just perfect.
