India – Mount Abu

Near to the border with Gujarat, Mount Abu is a hill station in the west of Rajasthan up on a high plateau and surrounded by forests.

As well as the restorative properties of the cool climate, Mount Abu is famous for the temple of Guru Dattatreya, who was believed to be an incarnation of the Hindu deities Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, all in the same time, the Divine Trinity. There are plenty of good accommodation options in Mount Abu and it is a particular favourite for family holidays.

With options for wildlife viewing, boat trips and activities in the town including shopping at the Khadi bazaar for brightly coloured clothing and hand-loomed items.

As Seen in…

We have had the most relaxing holiday ever. Thanks for arranging everything, it all worked out perfectly. The three weeks just flew by. Having travelled around so much of India and seen so much, having the last week on the beach in Goa was just perfect.
