India – Kanyakumari

The southernmost town in India,  Kanyakumar is a great place to visit and watch the sun rise and sunset over the Indian Ocean.

In fact, there are three seas that meet here and can be viewed. These are the Indian ocean, the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian sea. Under British rule, Kanyakumari was known as Cape Comorin and has the unique feature of travellers being able to view  Sunset and Moonrise simultaneously on days when there is a full moon.

You can reach Kanyakumari by rail and travelling by train in India is a great experience. Alternatively, the nearest airport is at Thiruvananthapuram, about two hours away.

As Seen in…

We have had the most relaxing holiday ever. Thanks for arranging everything, it all worked out perfectly. The three weeks just flew by. Having travelled around so much of India and seen so much, having the last week on the beach in Goa was just perfect.
