Experience

What do our clients think of our small group adventure holidays?

Paul, our driver/guide, was professional throughout. One minute, he removed our vehicle's drive-shaft on a very isolated part of our journey through the Chalbi Desert and then proceeded to point out a herd of gerenuk. Amazing all-rounder.

For me, this trip to northern Kenya was a real adventure. The section between Marsabit and Maralal was especially exhilarating, driving through desert and semi-desert, past huge rock outcrops and extinct volcanoes, across great spreads of ancient lava, passing almost no other vehicles, and then to see, through the dust, the shimmering expanse of Lake Turkana. with its cratered islands, innumerable birdlife, and grazing zebra and topi. Add to this the range of local groups who survive in so harsh an environment, and you have a really memorable experience.

Very pleased to have finally got to this region - I have wanted to travel here for more than thirty years. Moses helped us to understand the different cultures that we met along the way and made sure that the logistics of the trip ran well - not an easy feat in such a remote and challenging destination.

The local guide, John, in Kenya who accompanied us throughout our trip in this country was outstanding. All the staff we met were incredibly helpful. Your local team seem to be doing a first-class job. The hotels and food were all excellent value. Highlights were spending time at Koobi Fora on the northern shores of Lake Turkana and the drive from Marsabit to Lake Turkana and visiting villages on the way.
