Tailor Made Adventure Holidays and Group Tours in India
The vast country of India is impossible to put into a few short sentences – an overpowering country that enchants and engulfs all who visit. Our small group tour to Nagaland and independent tailor made holidays focus on parts of India that can truly be called ‘off the beaten track’. Incorporating village stays and community tourism initiatives in rarely visited areas we explore some remarkable corners of the subcontinent, meeting intriguing and remote ethnic groups and tribes and searching for some of the country’s most enigmatic wildlife.
Ladakh and Kashmir - The Hemis Festival
Venture to the far north of India to the magical regions of Ladakh and Kashmir. Experience the cultural attraction of the Hemis Festival in Leh where monastery lamas perform in richly adorned masks to a cacophony of drums, cymbals and long horns as the birthday celebrations of Guru Padamasambhava. We cross high mountain passes with stupendous vistas and travel to remote villages close to the border with Pakistan. We spend time in the fertile Nubra Valley, a green oasis of villages surrounded by harsh arid peaks. The tour finishes in Kashmir where you will stay on a houseboat on atmospheric Nagin Lake. Add in crumbling old towns, magnificent centuries old monasteries and friendly locals you will be enchanted by this picture perfect corner of India.

The Last Frontiers of India - Nagaland Hornbill Festival
Venture to India's last frontier - Nagaland. On this small group tour we journey to this remote and inaccessible region which borders Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh, as well as Burma, to experience the Hornbill Festival, an annual inter-tribal festival that promotes the cultural heritage of Nagaland. Join with the local tribes as they celebrate with traditional arts, dances, folk songs, and games set amidst immaculate replicas of tribal hutments. With pristine national parks, home to rhino and tiger we also spend time exploring the nature of this wonderful region.
