Experience

Both tour guides were knowledgeable about the territory where we travelled, including the geo-political situation of the present and the history and were able and willing to answer our many questions on those matters and on the local customs and conventions. The provision of maps was appreciated, and a bottle of Georgian wine at the beginning of our trip in Tbilisi. The guest houses in Georgia were most enjoyable and the 2 accommodation places offered in Armenia were equally so, although more formal than the guest houses of Georgia. The mix added spice. The driver in Georgia contributed greatly to the enjoyment of the tour, and "held the roads" admirably despite the terrible conditions. He did not back off ensuring that we got to out of the way places despite the conditions (in the High Caucasus), and generously took us to further places of interest when time permitted. The Mercedes used in Armenia was excellent. Both guides were friendly, interested in their job and their passengers, and forthcoming in their explanations and responses to our questions. The Georgian guide in particular was a true "ambassador “for his country; his enthusiasm was palpable.

We really enjoyed our trip to Armenia & Georgia organised by your company. They are both fascinating and beautiful countries and in the short time available we covered a lot of territory!

The hospitality of the people was amazing - a very warm welcome and such great food. The villages in Svaneti were a real highlight.

We loved Georgia and Armenia and can only wonder why more people don't visit. The itinerary was well put together and gave us the opportunity to see as much as possible without feeling rushed. Guides in both countries were excellent and real ambassadors for the region.

A big thank you to the helpful drivers and wonderful guides, Sophie and Tata. Tata in particular was wonderful and really picked up on our interest in music and both sang to us and organised a duduk (flute) concert.

A very enjoyable time. There is no doubt that this is a fantastic trip. We cannot praise the efficiency or dedication of the tour leaders in both countries enough. We all agreed that what the trip offered and from what was experienced, this tour represented exceptional value for money.
