India – Hampi

A UNESCO World Heritage site, Hampi is the location of the ruins from the medieval Hindu kingdom of Vijaynagar.

Located in the central part of Karnataka and surrounded by 500 ancient monuments, temples, buildings, Hampi is a must visit historical site for anyone with the slightest interest in Indian history. It is a great idea to rise early in the morning to view sunset over the temples.

A Hampi tour will introduce you to many of the most famous of the ruins but the standout memory for many is the bustling street markets and hippy backpacker feeling that Hampi still has.

As Seen in…

We have had the most relaxing holiday ever. Thanks for arranging everything, it all worked out perfectly. The three weeks just flew by. Having travelled around so much of India and seen so much, having the last week on the beach in Goa was just perfect.
