Taiwan is only 395km in length and 144km wide at the widest point, and is often described as being ‘tobacco leaf’ shaped. This makes seeing the best the island has to offer a relatively simple affair with few long journeys. Our tour starts in Taipei, Taiwan’s frentic but fun filled capital. With its vast selection of museums, monuments and markets you will never get to see all of Taipei in one visit but we make sure that we see the highlights of this ultra-modern capital.

Yangmingsham National Park is a truly inspiring sight with its majestic mountains, hot springs, tall grasses, forests of bamboo and broad-leaved trees. Taiwan’s varied geography offers an amazing array of environments. In the mountains are crystal-clear lakes, hidden waterfalls and plenty of opportunities for hiking. Taroko Gorge is an experience that simply cannot be missed. Tours also include a visit to Tainan, Taiwan’s former capital with its historical relics and a chance to wander through the island’s oldest streets. With centuries of history so well preserved, Tainan is a wonderful chance to experience the old Taiwan.
