Citizens of Australia, New Zealand, the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom and several other countries in Europe holding passports valid for at least six months and onward or return tickets are allowed visa free entry to Taiwan at any of its major international airports and harbours for a period of 30 days.
Taipei is a major international gateway and so has excellent links throughout Asia and Europe. Our tours are based on travel via Hong Kong using British Airways and Cathay Pacific Airlines. For an extra cost, it is possible for us to arrange a stop in Hong Kong in either direction. If you require direct flights from the UK, these are available operated by EVA Air and a supplement will be added to the tour cost.
As with travel to most parts of South Asia, we strongly recommend that you contact your Doctor’s surgery or a specialist travel clinic for up-to-date information, advice and the necessary vaccinations.
For a visit of less than one month, almost certainly you will be advised to have immunisations against the following: Diphtheria and Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B, Polio and Typhoid.
We have a legal obligation to stress the absolute need to have adequate travel insurance, which should be taken at the time your trip is confirmed. These days there are a huge range of options available and premiums have never been more competitive. We constantly monitor the advice posted by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). In particular we will always advise clients of any travel warnings. At present there are no warnings against travel to Taiwan.
