Posted: 13 December 2011
With winter rapidly drawing in, we've been working hard on exciting new trips to all corners of the globe, ready for 2012 and beyond.
Our 'Algeria - Africa's Giant' tour offers you the chance to explore the largest country on the continent, from the cities of the Mediterranean coast with their Roman ruins and old colonial architecture, to the enigmatic oasis towns of Timimoun, Taghit and the Mzab Valley, and finishes up in the deep Sahara, traversing the majestic Hoggar Mountains and meeting Tuareg nomads. Read the full details here.
Further south we offer a new trip in the tiny nation of Burundi, alive with vibrant culture, superb wildlife and spectacular scenery. With time exploring Bujumbura, Rusizi National Park and the Kalera Falls as well as a boat trip on the mighty Lake Tanganyika, our 'Heart of Africa' tour offers a glimpse into a nation too often neglected and forgotten on African travels.
A little closer to home but on the edges of Europe, Moldova abounds with ancient monasteries, charming churches and perhaps the largest wine cellars in the world. Our short Moldova Discovery tour explores the rich history and traditions of this enchanting country and also includes a trip to the breakaway state of Transdniestr - unrecognised by any other country but to all effects and purpioses a separate nation. Without a doubt one of the most unusual corners of Europe.
And lastly, across the seas in Asia, our new Borneo Discovery tour concentrates on the incredible wildlife and ethnic groups of the world's third largest island. Visiitng both Sabah and Sarawak we explore enormous cave systems, search for wildlife such as orang-utan on the Kinabatangan River, stay in longhouses and walk through the bizarre limestone pinnacles of Mulu National Park. A superb trip for the nature enthusiast.
And that's not all. Keep an eye on the website for more trips to be added in the next few weeks........
