A Letter of Invitation will be required which we will obtain for our clients. Generally the visa is valid for three months from the date of issue. Getting to Myanmar < Back to top Traditionally most travellers have reached the capital Yangon via Bangkok. A more recent option has been the introduction of flights by the Middle East carrier Qatar Airways via their Doha hub. Immunisations < Back to top As with travel to most parts of South Asia, we strongly recommend that you contact your Doctor’s surgery or a specialist travel clinic for up-to-date information, advice and the necessary vaccinations. For a visit of less than one month, almost certainly you will be advised to have immunisations against the following: Diphtheria and Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B, Polio and Typhoid. Anti-malaria medication will also be required and the use of a DEET-containing insect repellent is highly recommended. These days there is a huge range of options available and premiums have never been more competitive.
