Burma - Golden Myanmar, 14 Days

Similar to the Classic tour, our 14 day Golden Myanmar option also takes in the best of Myanmar featuring Yangon, Inle Lake, Pindaya and Mandalay. One of the tour highlights is saved until the end of the trip, with a leisurely cruise on the fabled Ayeyarwaddy River from Mandalay to Bagan. Enjoy the three day passage aboard the Pandaw steamer, a replica of the elegant colonial steamers that plied the route during the time of British rule.

Burma - Dance of the Elephant and Pagoda Festivals, 18 Days

October is an important festive period in Myanmar and we have organised this special tour to take in three of the most colourful and splendid festivals. We start with the Kyauktawgyi Pagoda Festival held in Mandalay. Just two hours from Mandalay, we make a day excursion to Kyak Se. Here we will enjoy the Dance of the Elephant Festival where numerous life-size dummy elephants with men inside sing and dance to the accompaniment of music. Its then onto Bagan to marvel at some of the 800-year old temples, which makes this city a must for any visitor, before taking in our final festival on the shores of Inle Lake. Always a popular part of the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda Festival is the traditional boat races where leg-rowers dressed in their national costumes compete.
