Tailor Made Adventure Holidays and Group Tours in Nigeria

The vast country of Nigeria is a lesson in diversity, stretching from the ancient Islamic cities of the Sahel in the north to the steamy rivers of the Niger Delta, with over two hundred and fifty different ethnic groups within its borders. With a fearsome reputation, it is little visited by travellers but those who visit often mention it as one of their favourite destinations. Not for the faint-hearted, Nigeria is certainly bold and brash, with Lagos a sharp introduction to the complexities of life in Africa's most populous nation. Our group tours and tailor made holidays to Nigeria provide a perfect insight into a country that has a far worse reputation than it deserves. Discover tribal cultures in the lands of the Kamberi people, uncover bustling Yoruba cities and venture to the Islamic north, which has far more in common with the cities of the Sahel than the coastal belt. Learn about traditional beliefs, visit thriving markets and see the remains of ancient civilisations. Nigeria is waiting....

A two week journey through the powerhouse of West Africa. Starting in Lagos we discover Yoruba culture at Oshogbo before heading north to the lands of the Kamberi, one of Nigeria's most isolated and traditional tribal groups. We spend two days exploring this intriguing region, then continue through the territory of the Nupe and Gbagyi people to Lokoja, at the confluence of the Niger and Benue rivers. From here we head back south, travelling the beautiful Idanre Hills with their cultural and spiritual sites, and then to the coastal town of Badagry, once the centre of Nigeria's slave trade and with a fascinating but tragic history to discover. A superb introduction to one of Africa's most maligned countries.
